A Subtle Second Story Addition

We added a full second story to this classic Queen Anne home; our challenge was to maintain the charm, scale and character of the original house, located in an upscale neighborhood of traditional homes. The interior, however, has been dramatically opened up and transformed into a serene and contemporary urban oasis, replete with artisan-crafted glass, concrete finishes and a floating staircase, yet all respectful of the traditional bones.
