A Commitment to the Environment:
We are always looking for better ways to design and build "green". Starting with the design itself, our approach is "not-so-big"; homes don't need to be huge (and resource-greedy) to sustain us. In fact our projects have been featured in Sarah Susanka's various "Not-So-Big" publications, which herald the theory that modest-sized homes can and should be functional AND nourishing to our everyday needs and desires. We favour natural and recycled materials over synthetic, preferring always to specify low VOC-emitting paints, finishes and products. During demolition and construction we make every effort to arrange reuse of fixtures, appliances and cabinets, and we recycle as much construction waste as possible.
A Commitment to the Community:
carpenterWe believe that not enough young people know about the satisfaction of building and creating with your hands. It is getting lost in the era of technology, but there is something quite pure and wonderful about the work we do. We also believe there are a number of young people who are getting lost altogether in this time of broken homes and broken families. While some prosper, others look to the street. In our commitment to the community, our community, and to the art of building, CTA is initiating a yearly scholarship to the Seattle Vocational Institute pre-internship program for youth in need -- young people who seemed to have dropped out, yet for whom there's still hope to bring back from the streets to learn and know a productive and satisfying life in the trades.

Our experience in contracting and construction gives us detailed knowledge of all cost considerations. We have the ability to work within a wide range of budgets. Because we design with your budget in mind, then oversee all phases, we keep on track with your budget, as the project moves from one phase to the next.

Our crews are on site from the beginning to the end of your project, without any of those annoying, unexplained absences unfortunately so common in the construction industry.
