Little House to Big House
This was a modest cottage in the Mathews Beach neighborhood of Seattle, with sweeping views to the East of Lake Washington and South to Mt Rainier. The owners had lived there for some time and just loved it: the views, the sky, the birds, the lush landscape, and the uninterrupted sun. But it was time to make this cottage into something more for the long term, and we developed the program so it included an upper level master suite and "multipurpose" room (art, yoga, tv) with a wrap around deck, plus a large covered and open porch on the main floor for entertaining in all weather. This along with electrical and seismic upgrades has transformed this "cottage" into a spectacular lakeside perch!
